It has been a bit damp these last few weeks.  There was almost no rain for 2 months and now it is making up for it.

We wanted to take this time to remind you of a few things about your system.

Most of our customers have a rain sensor! rainsensor

If you see your sprinklers going off in the next week, you need to check if your sensor has been turned off or if it may not be working properly. No reason to waste water and money by running them now. If you are unsure what to look for give us a call in the office and we can walk you through it.

If your sensor has turned off your system it usually waits 2 days before it will start its regular cycle again. Hopefully we will get a 2 day break from rain sometime soon!

We also want to remind you that lightening can be a major problem for sprinkler systems.  If it strikes near you, the electric current can travel through the ground and knock out all of your electronic components.  The only thing you can do if you know it is going to storm is unplug your controller. Unfortunately, this won’t help with what is in the ground but it could save you some of those costly repairs by not having to replace it as well.
